Perhelatan akbar Golden Globe Awards 2016 baru saja selesai dilangsungkan di The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, Amerika Serikat, Minggu (10/1/2016) waktu setempat. Sebanyak 26 kategori menjadi pembuktian bagi yang terbaik di antara para sineas layar kaca maupun layar lebar.
Film 'The Revenant' sukses menjadi film yang membawa pulang piala terbanyak. Total, 'The Revenenat' membawa pulang tiga piala sekaligus, termasuk yang paling bergengsi, 'Best Motion Pictures, Drama'. Di bawahnya ada film 'Steve Jobs' dan 'The Martian' dengan masing-masing dua piala.
Sedangkan untuk serial televisi, hasilnya seimbang. Dua serial paling kuat adalah 'Mr. Robot' dan 'Mozart in the Jungle' dengan masing-masing dua piala terbaik.
